Mini-Split Systems

Ductless mini-split HVAC systems are amazingly efficient and provide consistent room comfort, making them one of the most attractive methods of heating and cooling on the market today. If you have need for heating or cooling an area where installing ductwork might not be possible, call Wright's Heating and Air today for more information about these amazing systems.

A ductless heat pump or air conditioner typically consists of a wall-mounted indoor unit combined with an outside compressor. These units are most often used in areas where a window AC unit or baseboard heating would be considered, such as a new addition to a house. But unlike window units, ductless units require only a very small hole to be drilled into the wall, making them less vulnerable to air leakage and security problems. Although the do take up wall space, there are unobtrusive and much more attractive and quieter than other room-size solutions.

Mini-splits are also exceedingly energy-efficient. Experts say 25% or more of energy used to heat or cool a home or business is wasted by ductwork. By eliminating ducts, you end up with a more efficient system. Ductless models have inverter-driven compressors, which speed up and slow down based on the needs of the system rather than shutting down completely like traditional HVAC compressors.

If you purchase an ENERGY STAR ductless system from Wright's Heating and Air you can save up to 30 percent on heating and cooling costs for the area in which the unit is installed, and you may qualify for a federal tax credit and local utility incentives as well.
